Current Miss Cook Islands
At the stroke of Midnight on 4th April 2009 Engara Melanie Amanda Gosselin
stepped up to become Maine Kuki Airani (Miss Cook Islands 2009). This 24 year
old Graduate Management Trainee at the University of the South Pacific
enthralled the audience with stunning costume and outstanding performanace.
Engara's hobbies include Singing, Dancing, Painting, Composing songs and performing
arts
Before becoming Miss Cook Islands 2009 her ambitions was To be a successful career woman with respect in our local community
and a devoted mother in 10 years time

Our Maine Tapairu (First Runner up) for this year
is
Joyana Mennie Meyer.
Aged 19 she is a Full time University Student at Auckland University studying towards a
Bachelors degree with honors in Engineering.
She is also a part time model and part time cinema attendant.
Her hobbies include Art (Painting or Wearable) and keeping Fft
Ambition: To glorify God by exercising my talents to the best of my abilities
throughout my life and to one day be able to make sure my parents are well
looked after.


Our Maine Purotu (2nd runner up) for this year is Uirangi Bishop
Aged 21, she is a Data Processing Officer with the Bank of the Cook Islands
Her hobbies include Cook Islands Cultural Dancing and leeping
Her ambition is to one day become a great teacher by sharing her talents to our Cook
Islands people.
